Israel, Jordan and Palestine sign water deal

The agreement brings a long-awaited Red Sea-Dead Sea pipeline one step closer to completion.

Israel, Jordan and the Palestinian Authority have signed a water-sharing agreement.

The deal would also see the building of a desalination plant and a pipeline from the Red Sea to the Dead Sea.

As Gerald Tan reports, the project is both ambitious and contentious.
